About Us
Why did we create Balloon Fisher King kits?
Balloon fishing has been around for years and used for saltwater, freshwater, offshore, nearshore, inshore, lake and river fishing. A balloon serves as a large bobber, holding the live or cut bait near the surface of water and is usually attached to the fishing line via time-consuming, jury-rigged methods that include rubber bands or swivels, among other methods. The Balloon Fisher King system was specifically designed to make balloon fishing faster, easier and far different than ever before. The custom Balloon Clip is quick and easy to use and provides bait depth control. Also, we use only high quality, 100% organic, biodegradable latex balloons which are easier on the environment compared to inferior, synthetic party store balloons, which are commonly used for balloon fishing.
What makes the Balloon Fisher King clips and balloons different from other similar products?
Live bait balloons alone have no time-saving, custom attachment device and are synthetic and harmful to the environment. Most bobbers and floats are not large enough to hold sizable live bait close to the surface and do not provide a realistic bait presentation. What’s more, fishing without a float results in anglers losing the ability to control bait depth and movement. Our products are different and better because the clips allow for fast, easy and effective balloon fishing and the balloons will not pollute our fragile habitat.
Who needs Balloon Fisher King kits?
Every angler should have Balloon Fisher King kits in their tackle drawer or box. It’s the ideal situational rig for all types of fishing, including saltwater live-lining, surf or pier fishing, kayak fishing or any other form of angling where controlling bait depth is important.
What species were the kits designed for?
Saltwater species include most predatory surface fish such as king mackerel, spanish mackerel, sailfish, shark, cobia, striped bass, tuna, mahi, wahoo, bluefish, redfish, plus many more. Freshwater species include muskie, walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass and catfish.
You're a freshwater-only angler; so why should you purchase one of our kits?
If you are using large live or cut bait and need to keep the offering near the surface, our rigs allow for effortless depth control and there is nothing else like it on the market.
Are Balloon Fisher King kits ideal for kayak anglers?
For kayak fishing convenience is the key. Many kayak anglers who have used Balloon Fisher King kits like the products because they are easy to use, require minimal storage space compared to floats and large bobbers, and the versatile rigs work great for any fishery, no matter how large or small, shallow or deep.
Which kit should you use?
We created the Starter Kit as a means for anglers to test drive our products. The Starter Kit contains one balloon clip and 10 (5 inch) latex balloons, which are used for live or cut bait under 2 pounds.
The balloon refill kits are replenishment items and do not contain clips.
The 5 inch balloons (10 per pack) work best with baits under 2 pounds. The 9 inch balloons (10 per pack) are ideal for larger live or cut bait, from 2 to 10 pounds.
**Soon we will offer a Balloon Clip multi-pack.
